About Me
Dr. Luis Ortiz-Torres is a dedicated and compassionate primary care physician with 24 years of experience. He earned his medical degree from the Universidad Central Del Este School of Medicine in the Dominican Republic. Dr. Ortiz-Torres began practicing medicine with the desire to make a meaningful difference in people's lives. He finds great fulfillment in helping patients achieve better health outcomes and values the trust they place in him as their physician. He is highly skilled in the management and care of both acutely and chronically ill patients, with a special focus on conditions such as diabetes mellitus. In his free time, Dr. Ortiz-Torres enjoys playing music, challenging himself with chess, and exploring new languages—he is fluent in both English and Spanish and is currently learning French and Russian.
