Wayne S. Burnett, M.D.

Dr. Wayne S. Burnett graduated from medical school from the University of South Florida College of Medicine in 1994, but his passion to help others began many years earlier as a young man growing up in Ashtabula, Ohio. Since joining the team at VIPcare, not only has he been able to practice his art of medicine, but is able take time to enjoy his family, friends, and travel. He is an extreme DIY’er and is a self described “tinkerer in all things with an insatiable thirst for the curious”. He understands that medicine involves a team approach with the focus on the patient at the center. Lastly, he knows that the harmony of blending God, family and the VIPcare family together is a balance that leads to a fulfilling life for himself and the patient he serves. “My passion was always to be a doctor,” he said. “I didn’t know I was going to be a family doctor, but it fits my personality because I have an insatiable thirst for the curious.” the years, Dr. Burnett has practiced in various medical settings and models. He’s experienced the fast-paced environment of working in a hospital as well as being on a more personal level with his patients while in private practice. “I was really able to work as the physician healer that I wanted to be,” he said about being in private practice. However, he still wanted to be able to do more and give more to his patients. This is what ultimately led him to VIPcare, where he is able to spend the necessary time with his patients and be the physician he desires to be. Dr. Burnett welcomes the opportunity to pursue his passion in medicine and considers it an honor to be a part of your health care needs.
